Denysa TOTOREWA

Support Coordinator

About Me

I am a dedicated Support Coordinator with extensive lived experience navigating the NDIS system.

As a mother to a son who has been part of the NDIS since its Queensland rollout, I’ve gained first-hand knowledge of the challenges families face in accessing the best support. My persistence in securing positive outcomes for my son’s needs, including successfully navigating the AAT process, has shaped how I approach helping others.

With my background in Queensland Health, I’ve worked closely with vulnerable communities, supporting families in achieving healthier living practices. I facilitated group sessions, conducted home visits, and provided support through the hospital system, ensuring that culturally appropriate care was accessible to everyone.

My personal and professional experiences have equipped me with the insight and empathy I need to guide individuals and families through the complexities of the NDIS, helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.

Fun Fact

I’m rather proud of the fact that I can do pull-ups—proof of my love for healthy lifestyle training, which keeps me energised, motivated, and ready to tackle any challenge!
